The short version

PlaiiinLight talks to your lamps and — if you choose — to an AI provider you bring your own key for. We (the developer) never receive, store, or sell your data. The app collects nothing about you.

Controlling your lamps

The app discovers and controls your PlaiiinLight lamps over your local Wi‑Fi network and over Bluetooth. This communication happens directly between your device and your lamps. It is not routed through us and is not collected by us or anyone else.

AI compose is bring‑your‑own‑key

When you use AI to generate a lighting effect, your prompt is sent to the AI provider you select (Anthropic, OpenAI, or Google), authenticated with your own API key. That request goes directly from your device to that provider under your own account and their terms — we never see it. Your API key is stored only in your device's Keychain and is never transmitted to us.

Camera

The camera is used only to scan a lamp's share QR code. Camera frames are processed on your device and are never stored or transmitted.

What we store on your device

Your list of lamps, their settings, your saved effects, and app preferences are stored locally on your device (and, where you enable it, synced between the app and its share extension). AI provider keys live in the device Keychain. None of this leaves your device except as you direct it (controlling a lamp, or sending a prompt to your chosen AI provider).

No tracking, no analytics, no ads

PlaiiinLight contains no advertising, no analytics or attribution SDKs, and no cross‑app or cross‑site tracking. There is no sign‑up and no user account.

Children

PlaiiinLight does not collect personal information from anyone, including children.

Changes

If a future version of the app changes what data it handles — for example if analytics or a backend service were ever added — we will update this policy and the App Store privacy details accordingly before that version ships.
